your recent article on this summer's Chelmsford Mencap Daybreak
Scheme I would ask that the Chronicle pass on my thanks to all
the staff and volunteers who made the days out such a resounding
success. My grandson Ben has autism and is, as a
consequence, very hard to please. Despite this, he was
fully occupied throughout the summer holidays with a whole range
of activities, all of which he looked forward to well in advance
and subsequently thoroughly enjoyed.
He loved every minute of every day he spent on the scheme
and befriended all of the helpers that looked after him and
contributed to his enjoyment by appearing to understand his
needs so well. We can't thank them enough."

14th July 2007. We would like to join Peter Turrall (President)
in praising Sam Barnett (Secretary) on all her hard work and
excellent organisation of the day, which everyone enjoyed.
The members and committee are very appreciative of the effort
Sam makes. It was great to see that despite their
disabilities they were able to enjoy a normal happy day.

evening recently at Boswells School by Dance21, and had the
most enjoyable evening.
Chelmsford Mencap Gateway Club were amazing; fantastic
