Gateway Dance Group:
The Gateway Dance Group is for people aged over 16
years. The club is run on a weekly basis by Jean Hunter of Footworks a
qualified teacher and examiner for the United Kingdom Alliance Dance Society,
Blackpool. The club also enjoys a close partnership with The
Boswells School (a performing arts and dance school) of Chelmsford, and the team regularly
perform at different events and shows. Once a year the dance team is taken
to see a top London Show. Team members can take dance awards, and have in
2005/6 taken a "One Dance Award" and "Bronze Medal (2 dances) in Jazz Dance".
It is Jean's intention that the team will go on and take their Silver Medal
during 2007.
Jean is also an associate member of the Imperial Society for Teachers of
Dancing (ISTD) and is qualified to teach Jazz, Tap, Disco, Latin and Ballroom,
Line Dancing and Community/Curriculum/Special Needs Dance. Jean's work
covers Classes, Children's Parties, Workshops and Special Projects, and are all
